Edison Patel Guilty of H1B Visa Fraud
September 5, 2014 - Desi H1B Visa and tax fraudster Sandipkumar Patel of Edison has pleaded guilty to facilitating entry of Indian immigrants illegally into the U.S.
Sandipkumar Patel falsified employment and visa applications of Indian immigrants through fraudulent payroll checks and forms.
H1B Visa Fraud Scheme
According to court documents, Sandipkumar Patel, principal of IT services firm Software Programming and Consulting, Mercury Staffing Inc and Medical Staffing International collected tens of thousands of dollars from Indian immigrants to fraudulently secure and extend H1B Visas.Sandipkumar Patel, 41, manipulated his federal tax income tax returns by overstating his payroll expenses by over $1.4 million and under-reporting tax obligations by $400,000 for eight years from 2001-2009.
Sandipkumar Patel Indictment
Sandipkumar Patel was indicted on two counts of conspiracy to defraud the United States through H1B Visa fraud and filing false tax returns.Sandipkumar Patel is scheduled to be sentenced on January 6, 2015.
Don't be surprised if Sandipkumar is sentenced to prison for at least a couple of years.
